Glad you guys like it. the scheme is essentially scale. The design is not like any model Sukhoi in existance. Very optimized and extremely neutral airplane.

And its 97" span. The full-scale SU-26 has a span of 25' 7" so that makes it 31.6% scale. Same size as a 33% Extra or Edge since the full scale airplanes are smaller than the full scale Suk.

It is a great flying plane all around, 3D and IMAC! i flew it this weekend in the NC regionals due to a mid air with the H9 260, and it flew wonderful. We put one flight on it friday night, flew it 2 rounds of knowns Sat, and an unknown and a known round on sunday and ended up winning 1st place. It didnt take long to addapt at all! It flew extremely light and had an unreal amound of power with the DA 85. This is deffinetly going to be a popular airplane!

How long is it? I need to know if it will fit in my SUV. When in 08 will it be out? I have no planes now and would get a DA85 for it and all the stuff and wait if it is early 08.... Thanks Mike!

Dont remember the length off the top of my head, but I drive a Mercury Mountineer (Ford Explorer) and it fits in it when I take off the stabs, which just takes a minute.

I read somewhere it will be a single aileron servo setup, is that correct? An 8711 should be right at home there.....

Yes, one ail servo per half. I have 1 8611A in each panel. One 8711 would be excellent.

Very nice looking rig.
How is it a 97" w.s. can get by with only one 180 oz. aileron servo per panel? What has been done (light weight engineering?) different to stabilize this cricket bat? Only 6 servos to manage the power on - You guys might just nudge me into a 35%er!
The blue anodized spinner is a real class act - IMO! Looks sweet!
Is the gear painted or anodized?
I'd like to see the motor box configuration. Is there a canister tunnel?
Sorry, but man, but the "SUK" (IMHO) is truly in the cockpit though. At least there is one ! Why RedAeroRC.com had to come about.

The ailerpns are very light. Normally mass is the issue that causes aileron flutter ona larger airplane.
Yes, there is a pipe tunner for an MTW110 or similar sized can. LG are painted.
Spinner (doen not come with the model) is Tru-Turn. Yup, I love their annodized spinners.

Hi Carlos,

I think the 100 is better. It will be tailheavy with the 85, but I haven tried it either.

See you in a couple days. I'm REALLY looking forward to Vuela 2007!!!
