Default Re: Composite-ARF 300SX is Ready!

have not had an issue with that on the 330L, have less foam and everything is zip tied on that plane, on the 300sx I have one zip tie on the battery and 2 velcro strips, on the rx I have the 2 velcro strips, on the ign. i have it held in place with 3 zip tie compressing the foam by half...half inch white foam, i think the whole problem came from the cans and headers, and that I was expecting too much out of the trans,I am able to get 165 ft with no lock out, sat will tell all when I am able to but the plane in the air finally, I am not turning away any advise, just going with what has worked in the past for me, this is the third plane that I have used zip ties on and I have had good luck with this set up not to say that it is right it just works for me, I will change to velcro as I go to insure that I have no issues with the rx vib to much thanks for all the help and I will post as soon as I get i from the field to let all know how it went or gone which ever the case may be.................thanks again all who have posted i will post pictures sun or monday I plan on flying all weekend.

WOW..................WOW................WOW....... ......WOW.........................WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is the only way I can describe this plane
I was able to complete 1 test flight which invovled a landing to look at things and another take off to get a SH@#Y WITH it!!!
tried an inverted flat spin the fiest was uneventful well did not do one the second wow I don't think it lost a ft of altittude man was that exiting, I would hae flown longer but I did not have enough juice in the tx battery, got down to 9.9 and decided that that was low enough and no need to take the chance. I sure need to put a bigger pack in the radio sense I am flying two planes off the same tx but I cannot wait until tomorrow to get another flight on this amasing plane,I need a 40% of this plane for sure.
took pictures of the plane on the ground but ran out of film so i will take some pictures of it in the air tomorrow.!!! everyone should get one..WOW>>>>>>>>>WOW>>>>>>>>>>> lots yee in the haw for sure...got to call daniel see ya tomorrow and monday i will post some pics

On takeoff I don't think I was in high rates but I do know that the 9156's I have in the elevator was worth the money.made a few up and downs before I got the plane in the right altittude to get the plane trimmed out. 3 or 4 clicks down and 2 to the right and man it was on! roll rate was fast,DA2000 had set the rates on the first attempted first fight and I think I will slow them down a little until i get used to flying it.I believe I need to give it some more right thrust wants to pull to the left when I go vertical, inverted flight needed only a little down elevator to hold altittude.
I done a fews loops and they all looked like it is good on elevator setup, the first inverted flatspin did not go well due to too much thinking but up I went after landind and looking in the canopy to make sure all was good and tried another, man that thing, once I entered the spin, add about half throttle, seemed to climb a bit, I flew about 1/4 a tank (40oz) landed the second time, hit my knees and thanked the great r/c gods for the flight after so long on the table, I really need to get a bigger transmitter pack to be able to fly all day on 2 planes, hopefully that the weather will be nicer tomorrow and I will put it in a hover and try more manuvers.
I will have a fresh camera on hand to capture the exitment if weather permits flying tomorrow, expecting rain and some wind 10 to 20 but maybe just maybe it will blow in tonight and be gone by dawn. Thanks to all who have helped with the problems and I will continue to post my progress with the plane

got in two more flights today and let me just say this...........................MAN I FEEL LIKE A KID IN THE CANDY STORE!!!!!!!!!
My landings are improving(have a hard time learning the big birds)now I have 3 flights on the bird and loving everyone! Doc told me that it looks like it is more axial in the rolls than the 330L i couldn't tell just still amased by the look it has in the air, tried to hover did some but wanted more than my skills are up to,loops looks good and the flats and inverted flats look to be very productive should be a great kit as my skill improves, took plenty of pictures today and I will have them developed tomorrow and then I will post. love the way it flies and love the look in the air can't wait until I fly it again.

brotha you better believe she looks great in the air, I told my wife that I wanted to sell the 330L in the futaba scheme and this plane to get a 40% and she liked to knock me down saying that this plane looks too good to get rid of but i told here if that happens i will get the 40% in the fantacy red and yellow, know any takers?

I added some right thrust to help improve the verticals, looks good, feels good, hovers are better, inverted flat spins are getting better but I think I like flying the 330L better than the 300sx anyone want this 300sx???? I have 6 flights on her .

put one more flight on it today, I need to turn the throws down a little on elev and ail.
plane flys great! landed it nice and easy best landing so far, flat spins want to fall off to one side, motor did not seam to pull as much as I would think it would do, may need to adjust high needle did not put the tach to check rpms.took a few flips to get the engine started on both planes but the DA still delivers great results even after staying in the trailer for over a month,( been rebuilding my bathroom so the hobby room is filled with a new bathroom stuff.I am getting a qoute on a Super Extra from Comp.ARF in the silver and blue scheme.

put another 3 flights on her today.
tried several knife edge spins talk about a spin.....man that plane can sure turn and burn.
hover is going to take some work on , the power gets the best of mr and I end up higher than when I started.
the knife edge spin goes right into an inverted flat spin after 4 or 5 turns the more power you add the faster the thing spins... GOTTA LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

got in another 2 flights on her today,
did some nice slow rolls the length of the flight field, some more KE spins, nice big loops inside and outside plane handles really good on the slow stuff, did some rolling circles, tried some rolling harriers, hovered about 35 ft made a few harrier passes, elevator has plenty of power with the pair of 9156's I have.

2 more flights on it today, I am getting used to the way this plane flies.
landings are improving still, was suppose to have 5 to 10 mph winds today but it turned out to 10 to 15 mph.engine seemed to pull better today plenty of power and throws, still need to turn them down in low rates. I need to check the elevator alingment to see if they are both at center, ailerons are 3/16" deflection for level flight. harriers are rocky but that is due to my slow hands. all and all I am begining to like the plane more and more each flight, but still I feel the need to sell it to move exclusively to 40%.

this plane is now sleeping in the field, yes she took a dirt nap, went into lockout on a loop, when inverted throttle went to 10% was able to get it somewhat level but then, took a nose dive, leveled out just before hitting the ground, crushed the entire center section, I could not repair her, so I sold off the pieces that were still good, servos I will keep, along with power system, I think but not for sure the canisters exspanded enough to touch the headers and gimme some RF, may been some fault of mine not being able to get her back on the deck, happened so fast, well we live and learn and spend another 5 grand on another plane, makes it easier to move nto 40% totally, empty space in the hobby room now, 2 months and thier will be another plane may be a 2.7m S-12 or another 40% 260 time will tell
