Gonna have to get a Digital Video Camera. i have an anolog one but don't have the Coversion equipment to convert it to digital. so i can download. I'll have to ask my friend if he has the Equipment. Guess i could invest in a pinnacle Transfer box. Been wanting to get video of my planes here for a long time so i think i'll look into it.

Appriciate the offer and that is a nice filed you have there too. My friend has the equipment so i'm pretty sure we will be filming some flights. Indio is 200 miles away from me. I drive an F150 that get pretty bad gas milage. I drive 7 miles to my flight field not paved or anyting like that. but it's close and it works..Wouldnt mind going there if gas wasnt so darn expensive. ![]() But I do appriciate the offer ![]() took the pilot out of the plane he weighed 8 OZ. Not alot but that is half a pound. still have to move stuff to get her to balance i dont want to add any weight. but i think i might have to. i sure in the heck dont want to add 2 Lbs to it. I cant imagine my repairs to it adding that much weight to the tail. But it looks like i might have to Sure hope not my ignition battery is mounted under the tank near the rear i can move it up more toward the front of the tank. Just going to have to work at it. B Roca Let me know how yours balances out. If you have the same Model then you Should have the same mounting positions or frame work structure as mine. if you can post some photo's of your interior. I'll post mine as soon as it move the gear around. Some photos of were i fly it's not much but it serves its purpose.

Yeah I'm planning to pretty much spend all day tomorrow finishing mine up. So I'll definitely post some pics and let you know about my final outcome with the CG and all. Unfortunately, even if I do finish it up, the weather is supposed to be crappy here tomorrow and Sunday, so I will not be able to maiden for a couple of days. But when I do I'll try to get some pictures.
I put some decals on tonight, but I'm definitely not gonna use them all....it just seems like a little much. Even though it really is scale, because the full scale that it's modeled after does have all that crap on there, but it just doesn't look too good to me. I also don't think I'm gonna put a pilot under the canopy. I'm actually considering spray painting the canopy black inside before permanently mounting it. Either way, I'll keep ya posted.

Well i spent all day trying to balance this plane to 5 7/8". there was no way i could move anything around so i added 1lb 6 oz of weight to the engine box. Didnt take any photos Cause if you saw it you would cringe. i cut a block of wood to fit the top of the engine box epoxied it on. and drilled 3 large holes in it for 3 large Bolts with nuts. that i weighed on my digital scale. i mounted them tighned them up real good put loctite on them So they wont comes loose from vibration. put it all back to flight ready status, Flipped it over put it on the Cg machine and it came out perfect. amazing so it should fly alot better. But i really didnt like having to add the weight. but the 45CC engine is light. But it was part of the combo and it works so hey.
Next big gas plane i get i'll get a DL50 for it. and it will be a better Quality plane..I can understand why not many bought it now. it has alot of undesirable qualities but for 500 bucks for an engine and a plane it is a good first gasser. i have learned alot and will continue to learn more from it cause now i'll gonna fly the heck out of it. I never did put very many of the decals on it. i think i have only 4 from the original plane on it. Sure hope you dont have as much trouble Balancing as i did. but you have a DL 50 on it So that should make it plenty nose heavy..

Well, after racking my brain for a while...because of the carb being on the back of the DL-50, I finally decided to take it back up to the shop and swap it out for a CRRC-Pro GF50i. I think they just came out with that one not all too long ago. It is actually a tad bit heavier than the DL so I should still be fine.

I guess I didn't really elaborate much on that, lol. With the carb being on the back of the motor, I was gonna have to cut a hole in the firewall to keep from having too much sticking out the front of the cowl. Then I was gonna have troubles with the choke and throttle linkage, not to mention getting to the settings on the carb. Which, I could have made it work, but it would have been a pain. So I decided to go with a motor that had the carb on the side. I almost put a SPE-43 on there, but I really wanted to have a 50cc on it, so I went with the CRRC-Pro.
Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me while I was working on it at my dad's shop, but I will definitely take some pics tomorrow to upload. Then hopefully whenever I get to do the maiden, I can do some video.

Well didn't quite finish her up today, but I'm getting close. I had a little set back. I had decided to not put a pilot under the canopy and paint the inside of the canopy black. So I did that yesterday and it looked awesome, so I glued it to the hatch with some Zap-A-Dap-A-Goo, put some rubber bands around it, and let it sit over night. Well...the glue only attached to the paint, and the paint didn't really bond well to the canopy...so it peeled off in sheets. So I decided to get some RIT dye and dye it black. So I'll know tomorrow how well that's gonna work.
But anyway, here's some pics...the first few are a look at the hardware and linkages I used....

Looks really nice.
what are you a mad scientist. lol are you running a radio station in that shop? Plane looks great. i'm sure it will be a great flying plane. I have the red neck version. lol But it does fly, i would be ashamed to photograph my engine box. but basically i did the same thing boxed it in like that then drilled holes in the top plate and put bolts through the top plate to get the weight i needed for the CG.I'm sure as time goes on i'll figure out something else for weight. HAve to wait and see how it flys, runs great. So shouldn't have any problems now that the Cg is at 5 7/8". Ashame they have discontinued this plane. ![]() Will be looking forward to hearing how your flys, but from the looks of the hardware and ignition and everything else should be an excellentflying plane.
