Default So who's picked up a T-Rex 600N? Who's going to?

LIke it says, who's gotten a 600N, and who's going to? Mine came on Wednesday, I had it ready to fly by Friday morning and got here in the air Friday afternoon. I've got to say, this thing is really a breath of fresh air in the 50 class, it's designed differently from the rest of the helis out there, and has a lot of cool little features that make you just look at them and wonder why it hasn't been done before. Plus, it flies awesome.

So spill it, who else is flying one? I've now got 4 50s, I've got to get rid of 2 of them, already found a home for one, and the other is up for sale, this 600N is a winner.

Frankly, I'm really getting tired of T-rex in general, and I will not be getting an N600.

No doubt, I don't really care if someone does or doesn't get one, I just don't understand how someone can be tired of T-Rexes, so they won't fly a new glow powered one. It's kinda like saying that you're sick of Porsches, so that new 911 Turbo can go to hell.

zactly....

From what I hear this 600n is a TERROR !! down right awesome. Lighter than a rappy by a few OZ, and torque tube tail is great.... Kind of like a mini 90.

What's to get.
I felt the same way about ThunderTiger when every place you went, either you flew a raptor, or you just didn't fit in.
I have had and sold 5 450s, they were ok. I have a 600E for a scale project, working it out pod and boom, but it's ok, adequet for the task.

I just started flying a basicly stock Mini Titan, SAB 325 mains, TT motor and speed controller. This little heli is more fun than any SE I ever flew, just more "locked in" and "bigger" feeling.

I'm not saying the N600 isn't going to be a good heli, I'm just tired of the hype, there are plenty of helis that are as good or better. And I have yet to see anything that is so much better than anything else that I should be that excited about it.

That's exactly what it's like. Mine is 7lb 1.6oz RTF minus fuel, that's a full pound lighter than most 50s. It really feels it in the air.

Its really hard to compare 50 size rigs out there... THere are Raptor's and Evo's and those are about the 2 most common 50 ships... Sure you have your Knights, Tigers, Gohbees, JR, and so on... but to see a new 50 size come out that is not HDE mix, and is going CCPM right off the bat with some cool features (ala mini 90) is kind of re-freshing. Who knows this thing could be a huge flop, or it could be the tigers tail. Either way, its cool to see progress in the market, b-cuz that is good for us, the end user of the product. It can only get better. Look at how far the heli side has come in 5 years.... Darn coool.... I'm also excited to see the new JR vibe 50 coming out... Hopefully that should be affordable...

Sorry Cspaced, just saw your reply. Lots of cool things, see if you can find a copy of the manual and see how the clutch stack goes together. Also, the clamp on fan hub is sweet. Mine had no runout at all first try. Put the clutch on, and it had .0015 of runout, turned the clutch itself 180deg, and the whole thing had no runout at all. The way the electronics mount are also very well thought out, it has a very sturdy mount that allows all the wires to be hidden inside the frames. I also really like the governor sensor being mounted inside the frame from the top like the synergy, so you can pull the motor without unplugging anything. Also, the whole motor, fan, clutch and shroud drop right out the bottom as one unit, like a high end 90. The front rudder servo going back to a bellcrank is also sweet, very Fury-esqe. It's also got the modular tail system, so you can easily swap between torque tube and belt. Basically, the thing has the feel and flying qualities of a 90, it reminds me much more of my Fury than any plastic fantastic 50, and has very inexpensive repair parts. Can't beat that.

That's pretty cool about the governor sensor, so then is the fan flipped around so that the fan blades point down and the back of the fan is at the top?

Yup, like a mini synergy. Honestly, the heli is sexy as hell.
