Default Comp-Arf 2.6 Extra 330 vs 260

Hello guys,

I hope this question has not been asked 1000000000000 times.

I am thinking about getting Comp-ARF for my DA 100, but I just can't make up my mind on which one to go with, 330 or 260. I will be mainly doing 3D. I just found out yesterday to be exact that the extra 330 is not a mid wing plane and the 260 is, does that mean that the 260 will 3D better.

thanks in advanced.

From what I've heard, for 3D, the 330 is a better plane. The 260 is a better precision (IMAC) plane.

The 260 would be good all-around, but primarily because of the control surface size (check out the elevators and rudder) the 330 is probably going to make for better 3-D. Neither will disappoint - and both from Comp-Arf will need some work to increase the throws for 3-D, but nothing more than basic Dremel work - lots of threads about how-to. The 260 , with the wings and elevators close to the thrust-line will axial roll better. I believe that's primarily why it has the IMAC precision reputation that it does. I am not a good enough pilot to do anything more than fly my 260 (40% Comp-Arf) with the biggest $#!+ - eating grin you ever saw. With triple rates I can fly with a pucker range from Sunday flyin' to Huckin' and puffin.

It's just about 6 in one and a half-dozen in the other, IMHO. I have a 30% 330 and had a 34% 330 to which I compare.

I have flown both. Definitely go for the 260. Better IMAC and better 3D IMO.

Hey bud whats up?
Go with the 260 as nearly evryone said that it's a good all rounder plane and from what I see is that no one who I know has got the 260 so it's gonna be a different plane around them.

330 is a little more draggy. 260 has less coupling, tracks a little better, and it's a mid wing, which makes it a bit more neutral. 260 snaps and spins better. The 330 has a wider wing which makes it snap a little slower, and makes spins just a tad more work. They both are excellent machines, but if I had to choose, I would definitely go with the 260.

I flew a comp-arf 2.6 260 today and all i can say is it flew great. A lot more neutral than my comp-arf 300sx.
