Both of those numbers are accurate according to the 260 in my garage and a tape measure. A five inch spinner is perfect, so a six would look funny.

I fly the 260, my mate has the 3.1 super extra,(which I have flown) somebody mentioned earlier that the super extra does some cookey stuff in the snaps, we have proved that this is a result of carrying to much elevator through the snap, when backed out the correct amount, it snaps just as good as any of them. Personally I like the power to weight of the 260, mine is DA 150 and BMB pipes, but both are great planes and you will be very happy regardless of choice.

Should be a good setup. If I were you, I would get Manfred Greves Pipes. I have flown two Daltons, both with DA-150's, one with cans and the other one with the Greves pipes. Both had good power, but the Greves pipes really gave the 150 life! Much more power.

I heard the KS 1090's give you good power, but not so good mid-range. Don't know by experience.

I would go with the Greves.

Im putting BMB pipes in mine on the DA150. From all reports they give great power and smoothen out the mid range a bit as well. The midrange transition from off the pipe to on the pipe were why I went for the BMB's over the K&S

I'm currently flying the Comp-Arf 260, and I'v had a SuperXtra. I like them both, in the end, it will be what you make of it. I'm flying Advanced at present and I really like the way the 260 snaps. The 260 is also a little smaller and has a lot less drag. But I did prefer the locked in feel of the SuperXtra. Both fly well and I would be happy with either, and neither model would hold you back. If you are good enough to win with a 260, you will win with a SuperXtra.

maybe I will get both!LOL. So in the end transitions dont matter to me that much. I want the pipe or can setup that will give me the most rpms and horse power to absolutly tug it on the uplines. Which setup would that be???

The 260 suits the 150/cans option. Its slightly smaller and has less drag, therefore it feels more powerfull than a SuperXtra with the same set up. I have been flying my 260 for around 6 months now and have come to like it a lot. Overall for what I'm doing (Advanced IMAC) it works well for me. I also didn't want the added complication of a full tuned pipe set up.

Most of my flying time is IMAC flying and snaps are everywhere on the Aresti sheet, for me the 260 is the best compromise. Having said that, I have still been beaten by folks with SuperXtra's! Go figure! They must be better than me!! In the end it's all a compromise, both models are good, each do some things slightly better than the other. For me at present the 260 adds up to be a slightly better package.

With that big span does the super extra track better??? Also I would like to know the advantages both present over each other so I can pick which one I like the best. I am still cut down the middle.

The SuperXtra does feel like it tracks better, and gives a more solid locked in feel.
The 260 snaps better, and does everything else about the same, but it doesn't have the same locked in feel of the SuperXtra.

The 260 works better for me, for several reasons,
1- It suits the DA150/cans combo, better than the 3.1 SuperXtra, because it has less drag.
2- It snaps better than any other Comp-Arf I have had, and the IMAC sequences from Advanced to unlimited are laden with snaps, blow a snap or two and the games over.
3-It spins better, and by that I mean it stops exactly where you want it, where my memory of the 3.0 and 3.1 330 was that it took a little more work to stop it on the mark.

As for mixing and stuff, they are not much different, both need knife edge mixing.

So when you say it snaps better what do you mean??? What I look for in a good snap is the pitch and then of course the spin and the sudden stop.

It stops where you want it to, positive or negative, you will find you underrotate when you first start flying the 260. I used to find 3/4 neg snaps a pain in the butt, however the 260 makes them easier.
