Hi Warren, there are timing marks in the cam gear and on the crank gear, you will have to check the Internet to make sure what they look like. I have had the same with a ASP four stoke, I took it apart and just after I took out the cam gear, I thought Oooh ()*^ didn’t check the timing. With the Chinese engines it is a bit easier though.

Thanks very much

Last question.does the 100ml's of oil take the place of 100ml of fuel so that in the end it is still 4 litres and not 4.1 litres?

Warren here's the way a saito works .
There is a dot on the cam gear that must be facing down and the cranck must be at top dead centre then you fit the cam gear onto the cranck case and bolt it down but you have to make sure that the dot on the cam gear is straight down. Even if it is on tooth out it wont run good .........Just did a Saito 91 last night .LOL Its Mike's one for those of you who saw it go poof on sunday
