ok guys,
you might have heard, i tried to lighten my giles,
took 1 kilo off, but im still not happy.

so i have decided, im gona scrathbuild a 33% katana for my zdz 80-rvj

wingspan = 98"

could decide on foam or built-up wings, but im going foam, and im gona build it as light as possibly can.
will keep you up to date with pics, and what what.

i might require some - alot of tips from you guys. But hey, thats why we are here right?

When you say set up,do you mean set up radio and surfaces and stuff like that?
Because everything else is basically done.servos are in,engine and all.i think it still needs a checking over anyway besides setting up control serfaces and that

Thanks for all you help so far

Hmm, why does everybody think moving to SPCM will solve their interference problems?

Basicly if the inerference is coming from the plane SPCM will not solve anything, well it might give you better error correction and hold/failsafe (unless you use a Multiplex receiver then you have all of that on PPM).

SPCM will help with the signal from your radio to your receiver, so if you fly in an environment thats got lots of natural interference SPCM is the better transmission option.

If the interference comes from within the plane there are some basic rules to follow with a gas plane, or any other plane for that matter.
- at least 30cm between the ignition and the receiver
- No metal roods pointing back into the fus.
- Use a CF or plastic rod to do your throttle linkage.
- The choke and throttle connection should be ball joints and not just a bent wire. The wire will vibrate and cause interference.
- Two batteries, one ignition and one/two receiver
- Make sure that the cap fits snug on the spark-plugs. If they don't ground correctly you will get plenty of interference.
- Check the integrety of the connection between the plug-cap and the wire mesh around the cables, any holes will cause interference.
- Wrap plastic slinky/cable wrapping aroung the ignition wires. This will prevent rubbing/damage/interference.

There are lots of things to check, but these are just the first obvious ones.

Jason, remeber that gas is not quite the same as glow. You have more vibration and that is a killer.

2m rolls on all colours you want.

Price changes from color to color. White is the cheapest and I think blue or purple the most expensive, if its all one color. Then there are transparent films, checkers etc.
