has anybody here got a contact for stepper motors ?
a few of us down south have been busy with a CNC hot wire cutter. Just having a bit of trouble trying to source 4 matching stepper motors. Know some old printers have decent motors we can use.

Tiaan, I have just Hand cut a 102 inch Edge Wing with a friend of mine, if you are careful, then you will not get any ridges.......If you do get some, there is a 3M soft back sanding sponge, this will take them right out without any marks............and you will look like a snowman.......and your wife/girlfriend/mother, will hate you, especially if you do it in your living room.

Hey Trevor,
Frank is not actually building the Yak, I am. He came back from Ireland, and he is so "gatvoll" that he said he will not rush another build for a deadline.....I can well understand. So I decided to build it, maybe I will keep it, or sell it on to him as a complete package. I don't know yet.
The weight is an estimate....I am going for Lipo all round, as the DS9900's are rated at 2 cell Lipo power, it's not a problem. I will save weight where I can and keep it as light as possible (only two servos on rudder, lipo with reg. on the ignition, no epoxy (unless you know of a better way to glue in Robart hinges) Carbon fibre everywhere except Landing gear, witch is Fiberglas (light)...........we will see?

Hi Peter,
I have no link, It's a Yak made by the A1 model co. in China they are the company thet make AM/SD and PAU models. I will try and attach a pic. The specs you can find on Troy build Models homepage. Wingspan 107" and 2222 square" of wing, it's huge.

hey T I have done like a gazzzzzzzilion foam wings and will help you cut yours . The best way is if we get my buddie to cut your wing templates out of 2mm alli and then we use foam contact glue to stick them to the foam then they cant move. ( works better than pinns ) And I promise you it will be perfecto.

But on one condition tho .......... That you come fix my dam Computor before I smash it......

Sounds like you have it all under control. I think that with all you have mentioned it will fly so sweet. . So Frank is pissed .........
