Anyone have one or flown one of these? I'm looking at the 2.0m size, for $1175.Comes with everything you need except radio gear.3W 28 engine, can, prop, spinner, carbonfiber main and tail gear.
Looking at this as opposed to a funtana 90 with a saito 150. |

I have had one since they first came out. Mine has the 3w 2w on the PeFa pipe. Its a really fun plane to fly and will do a lot. Its very quiet and relaxing to 3d. I have not flown mine in about a year and need to take it off the wall and start flying it again.
Make sure you put really good servo in the plane and it will fly very smooth just like a pattern plane. Garrett Morrison |

I've read that the have made alot of improvements to the airframe and a stonger engine, the 3w-28. Seems like a good deal on a little gasser.

Yes, mine was the first airframe out and its still lasting with all the abuse I gave it. What they improved was the landing gear plate because it was very weak. Yes I would love to get a little 28 for mine. It really is a cool plane that you can just throw in the truck and have fun.

I have one of the very first ones like Garrett but mine must have been a monday plane. They have made improvements to the airframe since then. Mine fell apart just under normal flying, no crazy stuff and no rough landings. If you get a monday plane like mine good luck with customer srevice, you'll need it. Since so many people complained about the construction quality they started replaceing the older air frames at no cost, of course to everyone except me. Do yourself a favor and buy it from cactus aviation, I hear the service is a whole lot better there. The plane is fun to fly and has plenty of power even with the 24 I have. The 28 can only be better and the new airframe will definately be better. The instructions with mine were not very good so hope you have some building experience and can fill in the blanks. Be sure to put flying wires on the tail feathers too...the instructions say nothing about this but it is very important if you want to keep the thing together.
Good luck!! |

I Had one and I can just say one word AWESOME , it flies so cool, no coupling, no inestable, just awesome and 3w 28 works beutiful enough power to that plane, i fly at 6000 feet and in the middle throtle go up, the only problem is that it's so weak, first crash, last crash.

why do you say that? its about the same cost as somthing in the 1/4 scale size with a ys 140-160. You have to remember that it comes with every single piece to complete the plane except radio gear. Tank, line, spinner, prop, tires, bolts, ball links, rods, hinges ect.
Garrett p.s. Took me about two short nights to build it. Way to simple. |
