Default heli stick mode other than mode 2???

I was just wondering if anyone out there flies helis with other than stick mode 2. I am a mode 4 flyer with planes, but origionally found it to be cumbersome to do with helis, so I learned it mode 2, but it was basically just as cumbersome. I think the real hurdle was knowing what to expect and how to control a heli in general. So, today, I switched the aileron and rotor pots around in my CX radio so that I could try mode 4. It is like relearning all over again, but I think it will work better for me in the long run, especially for forward flight aerobatics. I found that the hovering maneuvers, like pirouetting circles had similar stick movements to a rolling circle on my plane on mode 4, but forward and backward flight maneuvers were unnatural to me.
BTW, I also have a CP that I just bought and am hovering it on mode 2 and today was switching between it and my mode 4 CX....I literally have a headache now!!!

Over here in Australia most of the guys fly heli's on mode 1. I fly them on mode 2. What ever you feel comfotable with is fine, some modes will be better for some things while others will be better for other things.

Mostly mode 2 here, my friend has been flying them on mode 1, but recently he switched back (after 5+years of flying planes on mode 1!!)
