I have been running my DA 100 without a dead stick for at least 4 seasons, until recently. It fires up no problem, Revs up no problem, as soon as I get airborn sputter, sputter,pop and dead. I have completely checked the entire fuel system and changed the igniton switch/ battery and plugs plus checked all the wireing for damage and bad connections. I believe through the endless ours of trouble shooting I have eliminated most of the small simple stuff that could be wrong. What I did notice was my plug boots were pretty cooked inside. So I'm thinking of ordering a new ignition module. Right move? Will the timing on the new module be right or will it require adjustment.

Thanks Vic! I'm also contemplating a rebuild of this engine as I said it has 4+ seasons of hard flying on it (Lead Thumb). So I'm wondering if DA makes a rebuild kit or if it's better to get them to do it? What are my options? Cost?

I would send it to DA and while you are at it send the old ignition as they can test it for any problems.
