I'll be there too. I have a plan for return if Todd J. doesn't come with me. My son, daughter-in-law and 3 grandkids live in Mesquite so I'll spend Sunday evening with them and motor back to Vicksburg on Monday morning!!

Just called and reserved Motel..Ill be there Friday and hopefully get a few practice flights in...I need a caller though. My buddy Dangerous Dan wont be there and hes been calling for me..

Guy's,
My Dad Suffered and accident in Guatemala yesterday, I have to fly to Miami today. Doctors are moving him today in an air ambulance to Miami for surgery, I have have to be there, so I will not be able to make this time. Good luck to you all, and see ya'll next time

Has anyone stayed at the Motel 6 just off hwy 20? Is it safe? What part of Abilene is the bad side?

You'd be better off staying on the Eastern side of town. There is a Best Western and LaQuinta at the turnoff to the field. There are several other national chains further east on the interstate, such as a Holiday Inn Express. A local chain, The Whitten, is reasonably priced and is well-run. Their interstate location is close to the field.

All parts of Scabilene are the bad side!

Kidding of course. The Best Western, La Quinta, HI Express, and Whitten are all on I-20 closest to the field.
