hey giants help me out a little bit. i have what i think are good servos. i know they are but,,,,,, are they good enough for 50cc plane?? extreme yak 50cc airplane and a qq yak 50cc.. the servos i have in my personal stock are either jr 4131's or ds8231'S would you think that these would be good enough to put on the elevator halfs?? or not? i wouldnt use them on the ailerons but i was thinking that they would be ok for the elevator halfs. what ya think????? also do you think that 4127 on the ailerons will be ok??????

When you say 4127, do you mean the good ol' 4721's that were the workhorse coreless servos before JR came out with digitals? If so, those handled my old Nosen Mustang and Ziroli Bearcat (RIP to both of them.... They were dumb-thumbed by their new owners after me!!) years ago with no sweat. Probably okay on elevator halves but I'd think about it on big ailerons of a 50cc bird. WT

4131's are slow by todays standards. If you're not flying with3d throws that might not be a problem.

4721's are good servos, but they aren't MG's(Metal Gears). I would prefer to see MG servos on ailerons over elevator or rudder. Guys have flown them on anything upto and including 40% planes. And this was of course LONG before digi servos.
The 8231's are 82 oz in torque at 4.8V, if I recall correctly??? What are the 4131's??? Both are plastic gear sevos............. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM................. Me personally would be concerned with flutter............ But that is me. Different folks will have different opinions on this.

go with high torque digi's. the new planes have very large control surfaces and can flutter at speed, also when using 3D throws on these large surfaces we need a bunch of torque. you will someday build a smaller plane that the other servos will work great on so don't risk you new plane on weak servos. just how i roll

I ran 8231's on each aileron and on each elevator on this size plane with no issues. While not the best they should serve you fine.
