Default 2.3m comp arf extra 330 L done

hey guys

my 2.3 comp ARF extra 330 L had its maiden flight yesterday.

all i have to say this is one of the best planes i have ever built and flown. i didnt have to trim a single thing on the first flight. no 3d yet we are still running the motor in but soon. there is plenty of power as it is but i will wait until the motor is run in. all up weight on the plane is 18.4 pounds.

cant wait to get to the club on saturday and sunday. we got about 7 flights in

steve

i will post some videos when i get them

Would you please let me know what size and brand name of gas engine you are using? I am looking 2.3 meters as well from this supplier.

Thanks Prapan.

Only got about 6 flights on my 2.3 so far & i'm lovin it. ZDZ60RV 23x8 Mejlik & wraparound pitts.
Motor seems to be getting better with each flight. I needed no added weight to balance but EVERYTHING is as far forward as possible.

my 2.3 has a BME 95 twin swinging a 26X10 Bolly Carbon, smoke system and 24oz main fuel tank and weighs in at 24lbs dry. my electronics are mid mounted and it flies like it is on rails, very smooth!

hi john
i will put a bigger motor in at a later stage. but im sure u would agree that its probably on of the best planes you have ever flown. as i said i had to trim absolutely nothing on the maiden flight. it tracks very straight and that 55 has more than enough power for now i flew most of the flights at half throtle.

I'm thinking of putting a BME 110 in mine but I'm wondering if it will fit with out cutting the cowl. Could you show me some pics of your BME 95 install please.

I see if i can find some pics of my install but when i was looking at engines a friend of mine had a 110 and we checked to see if it would fit and it would without cutting holes in the cowl for the plugs. the 110 has angled plugs on the back of the cylinders where as the 95 has them on the top of the engine. my only concern was the prop clearance with the 110. you can give yourself more room by running a 3 bladed prop but i have enough clearance with a 26x10 on my 2.3

hope this helps
Greg
