In those last pics you can see the decals I ordered from RC Decals .com.
Personally, I think the flames SHOULD come with the kit ! The flames are a huge part of my decision to buy this baby. Can't wait to get them applied. Jim |

Just wanted to say thanks to Fishdeth for starting this build thread (should be a short one for a plane as simple as the Talon!). Looking good! Good clean install on the BME 50, Fl.AV8Tr. Nothing wrong with the splatter graphics - I'm all for originallity - that's why I designed the Talon - nothing else like it.
Just one comment on the tailpost reinforcement - no problems have been found with the structure as is even in the 50cc gasser Talons. Once everthing is glued up it is very stiff and solid. If you don't mind, I'll post some close-up pics of the Joe Nall Talon and show some of my latest little details that might help others out there starting their Talons. Good Thread and thanks again. Chris

![]() Please don't take offense to my beefing up any areas of your design.... I know all too well what I am capable of tearing up that would otherwise be fine for everyone else.

That's OK - no problem with being a little cautious. Like you said, you paid your money so it's yours to do with as you like. I know you're going to have a blast with the plane.

I'm getting tempted. My re-built after a crash 80" AW profile snapped the wing spar - but it was probably the 1st crash that led into the second. Anyway it sure was fun - might have to check out the Talon. I like that it's intended for gasser power - instead of my hack job on the AW profile.
Any ideas how it would do with a G-38 (till more power shows up!) Thanks Terry |

It's been flown with everthing from a Saito 1.80 to a ZDZ60. Just like everthing else - more power with less weight is best. Monster glow and 35c to 40cc gas have been popular on the Talon and fly it very well. Zenoahs just weigh more than most engines for their power. 50cc DA's, Brison's and BME's have been what most guys are using.

Ok, Ok, here's some pics:
On my latest DA50 install for the Joe Nall demo plane I put the ignition module and battery inside the nose compartment. This allowed me to mount the throttle servo in the original location and to clean up the front end a lot. Chris

Thanks for letting me butt in on your thread guys. How about we see some more work on Fishdeth's and FlAV8R's Talons?

I only had 2 of the thick plastic wire pullers at the rear of the fuse so I used these to pull 3 pieces of cord... almost like a heavy kite string through the fuse.
Now I had 3 individual cords to pull my servo wires with. Pulled and marked the wires then mounted the servos. Linkage tomorrow ! Jim |

Setup all the tail linkage except putting CF tube on the rudder 4-40 rod.
Hooked up a battery and reciever to set the servos up... on the plane and the transmitter. Check out the MONSTER high rate throws !!!
