OMG! This is so funny. BTW, every post so far is incorrect. None of you guys know anything about light bulbs, or posting.

Now wait a minute here...
Are we talking about incandescent lamps or fluorescent lamps?
If we're talking about fluorescent lamps then here is a link to a site for more info:
http://home.howstuffworks.com/fluorescent-lamp.htm

However, if we're talking about incandescent bulbs thats a whole different story and you can find info here:
http://home.howstuffworks.com/light-bulb.htm

I hope this helps.

p.s. I'll post pics of my bulbs as soon as I figure out how to upload from this new camera I bought.

Off Topic I know but, does anybody know anything about cameras?

No one has yet add the history of light prior to the current technology. Has the light bulb been compared to candles or oil lamps. How about an open fire or even star light and moon light. Then there is sunlight if it is daytime. Curtains open or closed? LOL
