Default Composite hinge question

Hey guys, I got a Krill 33% velox revolution. This is my first composite plane, looks really good so far. Question on doing the hinges for the rudder, they are a flat piano style hinge. Is it ok to pin the hinges through the rudder or will this weaken the rudder by drilling through the composite material? No experience building a composite, so just want to be sure it will not cause any problems.
