Default Comp-Arf Extra 300L 2.12M

Has anyone built this one yet? If so, how does it fly and what engine/muffler combo did you use?

Hey, just looked at this one on the composite-arf site. Looks good and has a competitive price. I too, would like to know impressions of this one. Is there anyone out there that can give a review?

Im thinking of selling my AW QB 50cc Yak to get that new Comp Arf 2.12m. And it comes out at 15.5 lbs. 1.5lbs lighter than my AW Yak at 17lbs.
Anyone wanna buy a Yak? LOL. These airplane mfgr's are causing worldwide R/C ADDICTION!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 2x2 is 2meter span by 2meter length 78"x78" and the 2.12m is 84" span and 80" length. It has a little extra material.

Shawn,
Dad and I are doing the same thing. Selling the yak and getting the 2.12m. Since dad already has his new QQ86in. he is willing to part with the AW. The race is on....

Hey guys,
im very intrested in this one,
does anybody know if itīll come out in other shemes than that one on the composite site?
The yellow red white blue one looks a littel "kitschy"^^, and the other one has to much white.
The only negative ponit is the ugly cowling and that you have to make a huge "hole" for the cylinder.
So, if anybody have new informations, please post it

I got a quote on one a couple of weeks ago and asked for a plain white with red or blue underside, like their other planes. The rep told me that custom color schemes on the 2.12 are not available and that the schemes shown on the CA site are the only ones available.

I'm not crazy about the colors either, but with a few custom vinyl graphics from Kirby's, it won't look bad at all. At the very least, I'll have the only 50cc composite plane at the field.

I agree that the 2 color schemes are a little dry. I tried to get them to do a Futaba scheme so I can have all 3 of my Comp's match.

I have one on order should get it next week, not really worried about the colour I just want to fly it and use it for a mess around and pratice model.
Would be great if they came already built
These days I just want to fly, assembling them now is a chore

Hi Guys, Have about 5 hours more to go....then hopefully a maiden flight Monday or Tuesday. I chose the Blue scheme seemed a better contrast for my eyes (although neither of them was love at first sight !). The kit itself came with the 2x2 manual which is a little different to build and there are some definate improvements with the 2.12 There is a really comprehensive manual online which is definately worth the download.

As for my setup I'm running a DA50 and a can as is suggested in the instructions JR 8511's on the ailerons and elevators and a Hitec 5955 on the rudder. I still have some radio fitout to do but weight wise It should be under 15lb just.

Will update with a flight report in a few days.
