Comp-Arf Extra 300L 2.12M

I have everything for a 2.12 red white yellow except the fuse. It got damaged and the shop fixing it went under, with my fuse locked up in the shop. I want to get rid of the wings, cowel, canapy, ail and rudder, wing tube, wing ail rudder bags and other misc parts. I have listed them for sale before but no responses. If anyone has intrest please let me know. kdobson@comcast.net

Maidened my Extra 2.1 today. Beautiful plane, and the DA-50 performed faultlessly right out of the box. I didn't encounter any of the build issues mentioned earlier in this thread that date back a fair while now, so I guess CARF have since rectified a few things. One thing they STILL have not rectified though is the incorrect measurement for the DA-50 engine mount offset. The manual still says 6mm, it should be 10mm.

Hi colinallen, congratulations it looks great. I bought one of these 2.1s three years ago and it's still in the box it came in. Your post has given me the urge to finally get it together and into the air.

I used to have red/white one with DL50 , MTW Can & Header, 5955TG all round and 2600 Lions - came in at 7.3~7.4kg dry from memory.

After reading this large thread I gained a lot of good knowledge about what to look out for. Being in Abu Dhabi UAE I wanted to get into CARF planes so I managed to find one of the original CARF version 1 Extra 300L 2x2 hanging in a hobby shop in Dubai. Not the ideal kit but saves me a bunch in shipping. The packing list was signed in 2005. I havent been able to find a build thread specifically on this kit so this one seems to be the closest.
My question on the firewall install is can the firewall be installed at the correct angle to get the 3.5 degree right thrust line and 1 degree upthrust? I havent started the project yet.
The tips on the rudder cable alignment, elevator servo locations etc are really usefull.
