Default 9Z Battery ??'s

I hope you can help me with this one. On my 9Z, the battery will die within 3 days if left in the tx. If I take it out after use, it will last maybe 6 days. This is freshly charged and no on time on the tx. I can charge the battery for use the next time and leave it sit for 3 days in the tx and when I go to use it, it will be dead. Is there any way to remove the electronics in the cartridge and still have it work with the tx? Would a new cartridge help? I am running a 2500mAh battery from NoBs. It ran my 9C for many flying days before needing a recharge. I put this in the 9Z cartridge because I thought the one in there was defective as it would not hold a charge. Please help. I have missed a couple of flying days (which are hard to come by in SD with the wind) because of dead tx batteries.

Bypassing the charging circuit diode in Futaba 9Z Transmitter Packs

I would suggest doing this modification or send the battery casette to Radio South and do this diode bypass. This will allow you to put your pack on a cycler to see what's going on. Radio South also offers bare cassettes without batterys which you can install your own battery's for replacement. I carry 2 packs for mine, as you know the 9Z eats up the voltage and I can fast charge this pack with the diode removed. BTW the modification is easy to do..Hope this helps Walt
