I think I will be going with the Extra. Primarily IMAC, some 3d and from everone I have talked to, the Extra is better for Imac.

The Wild Hare is going to be the best bet. They have more choices, better pricing, much better quality airplanes. What more could you want and they don't have the hardware problems. Plus if something goes wrong you don't have the go through the anoying customer service stuff. It's going to be the person who owns the company your talking to.

Wildhare all the way. I have owned several of their planes in various sizes. I have also built some for other people. Hands down the best value in Giant scale. The service is top notch also.

Good choice... the H9 has severe wing rock in harrier.

Definitely a wise choice. The H9 with a DA-50 just doesn't fly as well.

Dude,
You live in Texas! WH is there with you. Good choice. I had one of the earlier Extra 300s and it is a GREAT IMAC plane. You cannot go wrong. Be sure to get the hardware package from Tom also.

Just finishing up my first wild hare 33% 260. Plan on the new DA85 for power whenever it gets here. I have built two 35% Carden 540's. This is My first big ARF and I have been very impressed. Tom has been very good to work with. What is it with all these airplane people. They all seem to be so nice.

I'm on my third Wild Hare, They are awesome planes. I hear all the time that "they are great plane for the money".
Well I'm here to tell ya, They are great planes for any amount of $$$. Tom did a great job doing research and development.
The second 28% extra flew just as good as my first. Just a little lighter feeling. And I like the larger size of the new extra too. The only reason I sold my new 28% is so that I could move up to Tom's 41%. You'll be glad you went with Wild Hare..........

If your desire is to go into IMAC the WH 300 is the better of your selections. The Edge can do IMAC but the wing design makes it hard to stall. The stall is something you need to have the ability to do in IMAC for the best grades in spins and snaps.

The Edge wing design permits it to be flown extremely slow and at very high angles of attack without breaking into a stall. In a harrier you will not have any wing rock with the Edge unless you're holding some aileron you did not notice. This makes it a superior 3D plane, and in that area it builds your confidence quickly.

Both planes were redesigned and lightened considerably when a change in manufacturers was made a while back. The leading edge of the wing on the Extra is a little bit sharper than on the Edge, again helping the IMAC flyer in some maneuvers. Overall you would love both planes but for IMAC you need the 300, not the Edge. However, the 300 will 3D just fine but not quite as well as the Edge.

Tom built the 50cc aircraft market and everyone else has followed. Him and his wife Patty have gone to great lengths to provide the kind of service we all want and like. All the rest are still playing catch up in this area and have quite a ways to go to make the grade. You will be quite pleased with all aspects of Wild Hare planes, the purchase, and the customer service should it be needed. Don't forget to check into the optional hardware package that's available for all WH planes. High quality and a good value, saving you time and money in gathering accessory parts to make it all go together.
