That funky wiring hardness is for balancing. Don't mess with it, or charge from there. Charge the battery from the main power leads.

that's the balance tap, you do not have to charge through it but you can with the right ballancer . what charger are you using?

or the cheap way to do it is with a passive balancer (it ballances through discharging and not charging) the blinky is cheap and works well and you need the TP adaptor, with this you can use it while charging or after charging but it is not needed every time.

Both the pack and esc come with out connecters. I have this little male and female indivijual connecters and I was wondering if they could do. Can you get deans connecters or any other at radio shack???? I do not have a hobby shop so little purchases like this I try to avoid. Thanks. Btw could the mah rating thunder power packs be used in a 40%??? I kind of like the looks of these packs. Any experience with them in the bigger birds? Thanks guys.

I have run lipo's in two 33% with no problems, But they were well isolated from vibration. The batteries I ran were not Thunder power. As far as connectors go, if this is a 3S 1320 12C to 15C Prolite, you'll need a connector type that can handle at least 20 amps.

Are you using this battery in an electric or in a gasser?

I have recently purchased a CellPro charger from FMA Direct for handling my LiPo charging. This new charger is a balance only unit. It will handle up to 4S batteries and you get the adapter panel for the type of plugs you have. It is capable of up to 4 amps total but it does a lot more than that. You can set the charge rate from .25 to 4 amps in .25 steps or you can chose 1C, 2C or 3C auto rates. It will then detect the current condition of each cell and automatically adjust the charge rate to top the battery up. I have recharged 2070 cells in as little as 26 minutes from the point I discharge them to. Since it is charging each cell individually it is much safer to use for fast charging. They are also able to charge A123 cells as well as take the cells to a storage rate automatically.

Worth a look. http://www.fmadirect.com/products.htm?cat=45&nid=4

This is going in an electric plane. I just want to know if I can use those connecters. Also wanted to know a place other that I hobby shop to get some. I will look at that charger though.

Those connectors are for Motor to ESC. For the battery end get some Deans connectors..

I would not use them. Because they need to be heat shrinked. The constant plugging and unplugging
may cause the shrink to slide and you don't want those battery ends touching. Very bad...
