Thanks!

As huge as the last Fly-For-Tots was,...I could definitely see that happening. But this years gonna be even bigger baby! I'm gettin' psyched!!!

Anywayz, today was friggin' great man. We had an awesome crowd. There was more people out today than a lot of clubs have at fly-ins. I hope you guys that came out from Jacksonville and Roanoke Rapids had a good time, I know we enjoyed having ya. You were all really cool guys.

I gotta say, the highlights were probably "Tweek" flying his Taxi 2400 from under the tent while it briefly rained cats and dogs. Then of course the beautiful mid-air that Jay Benson and Neal Wall had with their war birds. I guess you'd say that dogfight was a tie, because Jay didn't have any damage other than the balsa lodged in his cowl, but he did have to land dead stick. Although Neal's had a chunk of the wing taken out, it kept running and he was able to circle around and land. I'm sure you'll see pics really soon!

RDRC was rockin' yesterday with the locals and our "imports" from J-ville and R-Rapids. It was a hot day in NC but the flying kept us cool. When I rolled up at about 10:30 am, there were already several big birds on the line ready for action. Here's Speed8's (Darrell Smith) beautiful recovered H9 Ultimate, BaxterNick's (Nick Baxter) 40% SD Models Extra 260 (complete with Flying Giants vinyl) and JWilson's (Jeff Wilson) Kroma 180 powered SD 37% Yak. These guys were ready to play after driving the 2 1/2 hours up from the coast.

Larry Lewis had his usual trailer load but pulled out his awesome performing H9 Edge on this day. And Neil Wall (BubbaFlys2) was ready for some eventful sorties (more later) with his H9 P-47. Toprudder (Bob Richards, left) and Marty (Matt Richards, right) cool out under the tent with Larry (center).

The flight line stayed busy all day long. We needed air traffic control some times. There were several of those "short antenna" radios in play - very good stuff!

Fred Midgett from Higher Planes Productions was also on hand to shoot some promotional video for 3D Hobby Shop. Man he has some cool equipment and a good artist's eye! Pilot Bob and Pilot Matt did the flying honors.......
