Thanks for the great pics, Larry!

Yep, it was a great weekend for the "RDRC Travelling Circus Jet Division". And now we have two more certified jet pilots in our ranks: Mike Saleeby (from the Greenville area), pic 1, and our own Michael Hollowell (pic 2). Larry and I were able to give them their AMA Turbine Waiver "check rides" during the event and they both passed with flying (pun intended) colors. Congrats, guys!

Robert & Larry,
Thank you guys for taking the time out from flying to help with me with the waiver sign off! It is definitely one the highlights of my modeling years. I certainly learned a lot more this weekend about jets and turbines than I thought I would. You guys saved me some $$$$$ with your advice.

I would also like to thank Andy Kane for his help. I purchased my turbine from Andy per Larry's recommendation. I was making some set-up parameter changes on the motor when the HDT unit blanked out on me. I went to Andy and asked where I needed to send it to get it replaced. He simply said "Right here" and pulled one of his own out of his case and exchanged it with me on the spot. He then walked over and showed how tho make the changes I needed to the motor. He later gave me some parts and advice to repair the nose gear on the Reaction when I bounced one landing. I didn't even ask, he just walked over, saw the problem, and started looking through his parts bag. You can't get more "personal " service than that.

This weekend went by too quick! Now i just gotta find some where in the Reaction to carry 40 oz more kerosene!

Thanks again guys!

Mike and Mike,
You guys did a great job this weekend and proved to Robert and I you have what it takes to be resposible turbine operators. Signing off on turbine waivers is not something to be taken lightly, and you guys certainly proved you are committed to doing it right. We look forward to flying along side you guys and burn'n that sweet smell'n Jet-A

I think we need to fill the air with jets this weekend at ECRC!
