Tell me about it.....this is the slowest time I've ever seen for the Circus thread!

Some of us are headed to the field today (like every weekend) so maybe some stories and pics will make it up on here.

Dude, Hose' I'm sorry you had such a bad day. Thanks for letting me put my thumbs on her.. she truly was a great flying bird..

It Started Well

It ended in the worst possible way (the good news is you missed the lake )

A well placed tree and some serious shaking helped free the wings.

and the tail was found a short distance away

You were a remarkably good sport

A little tlc.... and she'll be... well, no, she won't

-------
And if one weren't bad enough... there was the GeeBee

Let's slow her down and check the stall characteristics .... yup, she's a GeeBee

Despite a terrible day for Hose... and the rest of us who hate to see beautiful birds bite the dust... there were plenty of happy stories from the field today... and a massive turnout.

I got to fly my old bird, thanks John.

I got to watch Larry and Dave do their things...

and then there was the man, the moon and the machine

the lady gave us all a run for our money...

I brought my neighbor out today... he loved every minute of it, said he hasn't had this much fun in years, thanks guys. My apologies to anyone who got an earful today... the man is to brevity what George W. was to subtlety.

It was the trees in front of the pond off to the left on the other side of the field. Misjudged distance on landing approach.

Geebee about 60' up and was slowed to test stall characteristics.. stalled and was unable to recover before impact

OUCH<< you don't stall a GEEBEE at 60',,, I stalled mine at about 500' and only had 1/2" of elevator throw on it and almost lost it,, I had the exact one, 50%plane saw it,, but anyway I hate Hose had one of those days,,

The circus might not be doing too much travelling during the winter months, but we are really enjoying the hobby and each other's company at RDRC field! Yeasterday was a warm 65+ degrees and we were out in force.

This is a group that really knows how to have fun. It was all there......

Here's a bunch of my pics and I know Larry, Jacqui, and Steve have more that they'll post. Fun Times!
