Jason
I dont think we can thank you enough for the hard work and time you put in to making this happen. Yes,,,,North Hills was AWSOME, but it took YOU to get the ball rolling and coordinate this event. So many times today I heard from members, " Now THIS is the way to have a mall show"
Like Bob, Ive been involved in many mall shows over the years, but this setting was something new to all of us. What a wonderful setting, and we really reached out to promote our hobby to the masses.

A big thanks to Kenny Thompson for putting on the Heli Demo.

Josh and I had to a chance to talk to the little lady from North Hills ( sorry I didnt get her name) and she did in fact say she'd love to have us back. She even wants us to have some type of electric meet there once they have the football size field complete next year!!!! She also talked about us coming back before this year is out to put on another static show.
They really went out of their way to help us promote the FFT event, so I feel it only fitting we add North Hills as a 2009 FFT sponsor! Get on it Chris!
And how about the blue grass band!!! WOW, ,, those guys were jam'n, and constantly talking to folks on the sound system about our event. By the way, they will be coming out to the event also!

A big thanks to ALL of the RDRC members for such a big turn out. Even with 80% rain in the forecast, you guys and gals showed up in big numbers. I never did get a total count on the planes we had there, but it was a very large number. We had the whole turf grass area covered! It made a difference guys. Again,,thanks.

We only have four weeks to go folks!!! Still alot to do. And we gotta start selling tickets now!!!!
Like every year, I'll be chasing everyone down and giving out tickets for you to sell. So please, when you see me coming, dont run!!!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEETING!!!!!

This will be our last meeting before the FFT event, so we need everyone there.

Dave Langridge,
If you would please, get out a note via e-mail to all the members about this weeks meeting.

Fantastic Day guys. I hate we missed the Kinston Fly In, as we seldom miss a chance to support our sister clubs when they have an event. Nelson, I hope you understand why we couldnt make it buddy. You have always been a huge supporter of our events, and the Circus kinda feels like we let you down. But today we had a huge oportunity to promote the 2009 FFT in a big way, and we needed to take advantage of it. We'll make it up to ya buddy,,,,,,,,,,,,

Speaking of flying demos at the mall show, I wonder who it was that flew the most flights there.

I forgot to get flyers and tickets to sell yesterday. Will any be available at the field today?
I will spread the word down Elizabeth City way.

I gave away a fair amount of flyers and some magazines. I have a small stack of flyers to give away down here in the southern Wake area.

I am watching this week's PGA tournament, the Windom Championship being held in Greensboro, and heard them mention that the Victory Junction Gang Camp is their official charity.
