Ok, time for the next road trip.... Summer got a little quiet, but it is time to pick things back up.

Plus it is a good time to get those planes out and get them flying before the HUGE FFT event !!!

Then it should only be a quick little drive to the field.

The Tarheel RC Flyers has always done a great job attending our flyins, so lets get a big group together and return the favor !!!

Glad to see you taking the bulls by the horns and getting the Circus trip set up. You guys will have a blast. The Tar Heel gang always puts on a super good show.
Robert, Manny and myself would nornally be there, but we're headed north on yet another recruiting mission! We'll miss not flying with the Tar Heel gang( and Mark Farmers Chicken!!!) but we'll surely make the next one there. Hmmm,,,ya know Mike,,,,, You REALLY need to lay down a few burn strips on that grass runway for'em! The crown will dig that jet.

On a side note, will anyone going there this weekend be able to bring back the big drink cooler they always loan out to us? Mark said when they empty it after the foos stand shuts down, we could bring it back with us. It will have to be someone with a pick-up truck. (( Josh?))

Last year's RDRC IMAA event... I've searched high and low for pics from last year's RDRC big bird fly-in on 10/18...but have come up empty handed. Does anyone have a link to pics online from this event? I searched this Circus thread and on the RDRC forum, but didn't find anything around that date.

Getting some really good feedback so far on the new road sign layout...

All recommended changes have been applied except for the one stating members only.

Thoughts if we should include that the field is for "Members only" ?

given the amount of non-members who wander in to fly, yes that should be on there as well if possible.

I think it looks totally awesome just the way it is Mike.
Im not so sure we should put Members Only, as we dont want to cause visitors to refrain from entering the gates. Although, we do need to keep a check on non-members feeling they can just stop in and fly.

Doesnt the current sign have "Members and Guest only" on the bottom now? Not sure. If we do put it on there, I'd keep the lettering small. What we want to jump out is the great stuff he has on the sign now. Especially that "Home Of The FFT" !!

We're going to win some kind of special AMA sign award for this one!
