Robert's flying a warbird!

That's right, last weekend I took delivery of a "Hanger 9 P-51D Mustang 150" from Pete Goldsmith while at Fly-for-Tots. I'm going to be flying it at all of the IMAA and warbird events in our area, since it has an IMAA-legal 80" wingspan. It's a really nice ARF with a cool color scheme. The mechanical retracts, struts, wheels are also very high quality for an ARF and seem to be quite sturdy. Of course, I had to get a static display prop, since that's part of what makes a P-51 so distinctive. Mine has an Evolution 26 GX gas engine that fits perfectly into the cowl with no big cutouts required. It's not overpowered by any means but it flies at a decent speed with this engine. Overall, I'm impressed by the flight performance. In fact, I flew it a bunch in the steady crosswind at RDRC today and it worked perfectly.
