For no more T-28s that flew yesterday I think I witnessed some of the worst carnage yet.
First time Ive been to Roanoke Rapids, Allen and his crew did a fine job.

Note to Larry:

It is "SALEEBY"!!

Not "saleebe", not salebeee", not "salebebebebedumdee", not even "salebafunnyname"

Get it right before I chase you down on my camel!!

PS: How was the concert?

Thanks to each and every one of you guys, and ladies for making the trip. I hope everyone enjoyed theirselves. Mike amazing job on the jet. Always a great laugh on the FORMATION FLYING T-28. Robert's grass stain's just for a piece of candy. Man that was hilarious. Hope you guys enjoyed the Full Scale flyover. I hate that I couldn't fly with you guys but I lost faith in my radio after it failed on me. I am down but not out. I hope to get it sent off and replaced or fixed but this is the second time so I am concerned. Anyhow I hope to be able to make it to at least one more flyin before the end of the season.

Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun at RR. Sorry we missed it.

"Hey, Dad, can we go to Mocksville so I can fly pattern?"

"Sure, son."

"Hey, Dad, if RJ goes, is it ok if he flies our Vanquish?"

"Sure!"

So, off we went to the pattern contest in Mocksville. Matt only had a few practice flights on the Friday before we left, and RJ had NO flights on it. But, they both did a great job. RJ and Matt both flew in Sportsman, and it was the first pattern contest for either of them. The Vanquish was the smallest plane at the event.

At the end of Saturday, three rounds had been flown. They normalized the scores and carried the Saturday results over to Sunday as a single round score (Prelims - Finals format). Here are the Saturday scores:

Notice how tight it is between 2nd and 4th! On Sunday, one of the other pilots bumped Matt from second to third, but RJ won the class. Not bad!
