1 ---- Robert has officially become a great warbird pilot, he even learned how to "properly" land a warbird

2 ---- This is what Josh thought of Robert's landing

Nice pics, guys! We had fun yesterday. It's too bad the rains came and shortened the fun.

And congrats again to Do-Rag! You're on a roll, dude.

There is much underway on the RDRC site and with the equipment at the field. I was at the field early this morning (before most of the crowd got there) installing and doing a bit of working on the systems. If you go to rd-rc.org, and look at the front page, you'll see some of what I'm talking about.

At the bottom of every LH menu on the site you'll see a little "gizmo" labeled as "RDRC Weather". At a glance, this shows the latest info from the field. Wind speed, wind direction, temp, humidity, and rainfall over the last 24 hrs... (the rainfall is working yet, but it will be).

On the main window of the front page you'll see 3 dials that show average speed over the last minute, wind direction, and max gust measured over the last 6 minutes. This info will update every 60 seconds. The data may lag a minute or so because of timing and such, but it's pretty darned accurate.

In the LH main menu, you'll see a link labeled as [- RDRC WX]. If you click that, a new window will open and show loads of data, both archived, trended, and current. Most of that is working, though I'm still debugging some of the various data fields and their update rates. Once all is debugged, I'll also be adding various items to the Video & Weather Feed page at rdrc.tv .

A UPS was installed today to hopefully smooth out some of the bumps in operation due to all those power blips we have in this area. Another piece of gear was installed today to provide support for the new cameras we're working on to improve the video quality, a better "shed cam" for security recording, and live video feeds for the little wireless aircraft cams that are being tested (to broadcast/record live in-flight video).

Enjoy, and don't hesitate to ask questions or point out things that you might find that aren't working properly. I tend to overlook some things when pulling those late night work sessions on this stuff :-)

Dave

Wow, that is cool.... Overwhelming amount of data. One thing that is depressing is that sunset is 6:44 today, can you try to do something about that ? Back to 8:00 or so would be good....

Hey Alan, Josh must have missed your question, but I believe the answer is yes, IMAA required. I'm sure you can join on site though. See you there !
