When you hear the name 'Lewis', you know you're talking about the hardest flying, never-say-die competitor there is. He's one of the best pilots at taking a plane flying it past its limits, no matter how good or how bad it might be on any given day.

It would be an honor to race you sir.

That's right, Joe, work the "mind games" early and carefully.

Well, I did some family things earlier today and got back too late to go flying. So I spent a little time in the shop getting the new EPP 2EZ finished. As you can see in the attached pic, it's now ready to fly.

All up weight with the 3S 1350 TP battery is 10.65 oz. That's about an once or so lighter than the blue foam one. The EPP foam makes it a little more flexible at the wingtips but I'll reserve judgement until I fly it.....soon!

Sorry, but given the wet ground, cold air, and WINDY conditions, we decided not to drive 2 1/2 hours just to join you guys around the campfire. We hate to miss it but maybe next year!

LOL @ Adam....Robert, we actually flew quite a bit.....although it was with other peoples airplanes...I mean heck, why risk your own stuff when someone else comes up and says " I don't really care if I take this plane home in one piece or not"

It was COLD, though...thanks goodness for the 60+ pallets we burned on the bonfire, as well as the oyster stew, beans, and other goodies that Nelson fixed.

It was a good day though...good friends, lotsa flying fibs, great food, and some flying thrown in, all in our little slice of RC heaven!

I'm glad you guys had fun, Tim.

20 mph winds plus 30 deg temps don't work for us! We're enthusiastic about flying but.....

Robert, I understand. Had it been more than 10 minutes from the house. I likely wouldn't have gone either. I can't blame anyone for wanting to stay warm!!

Tim,
I was all packed up and ready to go. Then Robert and Matt bailed on me!!!!!! The NERVE of those guys!
I would have gone anyway, but it was so late in the morning when I found out Robert wasnt picking me up, and I was short on gas money because I spent it all on fire wood to keep warm.
I feel really bad for being a no-show, but it's allllll Roberts Fault! Well,,,,,,,, it's partly to blame on Matt also.
Yup,,,,,,,,,,,,, thats how it all went down! hehehhee

Seriously though,,, I hate we missed it, but the forecast wasnt looking good at all. And with the days being so short, and the distance we would have to drive, we thought it better to sit this one out. We surely look forward to flying with you guys soon and check out the new runway. I hear it looks great.
Instead of flying this weekend, I spend most of Friday, Saturday, and today re-painting our upstairs bath. It turned in to a semi tear out job!!! Why is it I can never JUST PAINT. My wife and I have a bad habbit of turning small jobs into major remodeling projects. Oh well,,,,,,,,, She's all happy now. Of course,,,, now she has to go out and buy new towels, pictures, counter accesories, rugs,,,,,,etc ,,,etc ,,,etc,,,,!!!!

And to think,,,, I could have been flying this weekend!!!
