I'll help you get your Raider in the air, Larry. But it's too cold to drag the trailer out there today!

Im thinking the same thing. I was planning on going there "Compact". Might take J's Burb so I still have plenty of room. Also dont plan to spent a lot of time there. Still need to take the ECU out of my jet so I can send it to Eric.
Oh,theres a football game on today also!

What are you taking Vess? 3D Extra?

That's funny, Les. It's not your average Club40 racing series logo!

Can you bend the "RDRC" and "Sport Racing Series" around so that they follow the circular path of the "halo"? This will make it easy to do a round sticker.

Believe me, I can do anything I want.

I did play with that, and it was my initial intent, but throwing in even the simplest type effects began to conflict with and diminish the impact of "the can." Thus the type tones down its act and makes it pop by playing the "straight man."

Round Sticker? Why be normal? And if anybody insists on a checkerd flag element, while I'll... :6a:

Whew!!! It was a little cool outside today! Still,,,there was a good size crowd on hand to keep the skies full at RDRC. I got in several flights with my Raider today. Wow,,,what an easy flying machine. It literally flew off the work bench with no trim needed. That little Thunder Tiger was get'n on with it, despite running on break in fuel with low nitro! Clean up was fun after every flight. Oil all over the place! lol Not sure how accurate Wess DeVaney's radar gun is, but he was clocking it at 94, 96, anf 95 mph! Even it it was slower tahn that, it's still plenty fast for you speed junkies, and should be a blast to race. This little plane tracks really well, turns tight, and lands as easy as anything youve ever flown.
Lots of folks out today. If you didnt make it, you missed a good day of flying. Oh,,and you probably stayed warm! Here's a few pics from today.

Hard Charger Award goes to Pat Taggart today! As ussual, Pat brought out a new airplane. This week it was a Gee Bee R2 electric. Pat lined it up on the runway, added power and watched his brand new Gee Bee take to the air, begin a really cool slow roll to inverted. Wait a minute
I dont think Pat does slow rolls on take off!!!!! Acutally, Pat did something many of have done ( including me) He had the ailerons reversed!!! Pat didnt panic. He just let'er settle in on the runway. Only had minor scrapes on the cowl, and popped the canapy off. He also knocked one aileron loose. What Pat did next is the coolest part. He went back to the pits, reversed the ailerons, and made a couple of simple repairs. Next thing you know, he's right back on the flight line putting that Gee Bee through the paces. Now THATS a class act guy right there! It looked great Pat
Now,,,go buff out those black streaks on the cowl!

Wanted to show up, but the old ticker wouldn't let me. Gonna get it fixed next month, so watch out! Sure glad I got some flights on my Raider the other day and I agree as to it's easy flying.
