The magazine coverage was great, however, I believe the front photo should have been an aerial picture to show the enormity of the event or the actual kids or camp we were supporting and helping. I have a problem with it being a well known rc flier, that we all see all the time. Seems model aggravation magazine is a litle biased to only airplane related pictures and people. What does everyone else think?

You guys really are to be highly commended on your efforts for people that are less fortuate than we are ! I have been involved in events that were not nearly as well orchestrated as the "Fly For Tots Event" ,due to there only being a "few" that had to carry the load. You guys seem ,and it's pretty apparent due to the success of the event, to pull together and strive for a common goal,"Success" ! CONGRATS again for pulling such an event off successfully ! I personally look forward to being there each year. Wayne Parrish

I suspect we all might have our own ideas about which picture should be on the cover. Me, I'm glad our event (regardless which picture) was on the cover.

I see no problem with it. If I had not been there, I would not have known (from looking at the cover) who was flying. I think the article itself was very well written as well. It did not try to glorify anyone, instead it did a very good job expressing the spirit of the event. The picture of the kids candy drop, which spanned two full pages, was great. The article also did a good job explaining why the event is held and where the money goes.

Kudos to Model Aviation and the AMA.

Yeah, an aerial photo would have been awesome to show the event, but I'm not sure it would make a good cover photo. After seeing the flying he did, and talking to him briefly, I don't have a problem with it being a well known flyer. His routine was nothing short of awesome, the shot is great, and they are trying to sell magazines. Overall I am very impressed with the coverage, I have been passing it around the office today.

I gotta agree with Bob...the main thing is that RDRC and FFT got some great coverage.

As far as the cover shot..well, the name of the publication is Model Aviation...which would lead one to think of aviation, be it a plane, helicopter, whatever. So it stand to reason that having a shot that represents aviation on the cover would be a smart choice.

Choosing a cover shot from the hundreds of photos they had available was no small task...not every picture is good enough for the cover, even if it is good enough to be included in the magazine. A well composed, properly lighted, in focus shot of the right size is not an easy task to come by...and while I would have gotten a kick out of seeing a HoverDisc being chased by a 2EZ on the cover, I gotta say the shot they chose is pretty darn good.

I couldn't quite bring myself to the 4-Site, just seems a little fragile for my skills, but I do have a new Vapor just for the occasion !

I thought the FFT coverage was awesome. Lays it out perfectly, IMO.... Jason noll put on several flights that deserve a cover shot... Jmho

Hope I can make FFT2010!

I might show up to the indoor fly-in tonight... Don't have anything to fly, but I can do live coverage on fg, assuming there's a good cell signal...
