Wow, I cannot believe no one has posted any pics from Sunday... It was an amazing sunny day at the field. A lot of people there flying when I stopped by for my brief moment during my work day...

Ditto Speaking for us shut-ins, please post pictures. It looked like a great day and someone must have had their camera busy.

Blair,

No pictures for you. We took a vote and said that when anyone is in the hospital we will not post pictures. This is in hopes that you make a faster recovery and get back to the field.

Sadly, Jacqui and I forgot to bring a camera. It was a great day there. Only one ,,,,well,,,TWO mishaps. Oh wait,,,,, Ken Kiesler OK ok ok,,,,, THREE mishaps! lol
Ken lost a Big Stick to unknown reasons. Jacqui's neck strap got into an arguement with her throttle stick and drove her GeeBee into the flight station. And then there was an act or terrorism commited!!! Oh yes,,,,,,, It all happened when an F4U Corsair took out Air Force One!!!!
Seems Wess DeVaney wanted an upclose talk with BHO while in flight! lol Both planes received minor damage, and both will fly again!

Sunday was beautiful. I flew a lot, just not at RDRC. At the last minute, I got a call from Fred Midgett saying that Andrew Jesky was going to be in town, filming part II of the the AJ How To video. He wanted to know if I would bring my Aspera and Vanquish up to Henderson so he could shoot some video of that as well. Sooooo.... I could not pass that up. I ended up doing some pattern formation flying with AJ! Cool. He had a couple of his new AJ Slicks from 3D Hobby Shop there as well. Awesome!

You Sure Did Baldy! Great to see you out there Anthony. Remember,,,,,,,,, you DID SAY you planned to be more of a regular this year. And we're holding you to it! Now,,,,,, get out in teh shop and build that Raider! And you arent going to be flying that Turbine,,,,,,, Im looking for a good used P-70. I dont want a used one without knowing the history behind it, so yours will do just just fine! LOL
Seriously would be interested in a used one IF you know who it is coming from.

I went to work this morning with my planes still in the truck from yesterday. Someone at work wanted to see one fly, so I just had to oblige . Flew my profile Yak in the parking lot. Then, things worked out so I could take some time off from work after lunch. Beautiful day, leaving work early, with airplanes in the truck. Hmmmmm......

The weather was AWESOME. I pulled into the field and saw a LOT of people there, including our migratory Jerry Willette. I flew the heck out of my EF profile Yak. (Man, I'm lovin' that plane). Flew some straight line stuff with the Vanquish. It all ended on a bad note, though, when John Kiesler trusted me to maiden his VFO, and I dorked it. It was flying pretty good, did an inside loop to get an idea of the elevator control, then tried an outside loop thinking I had plenty of altitude. Actually, it was only 2/3 as high as it needed to be. Nothing a little foam-safe CA won't fix, though.

With all the flying going on at the field on a weekday, I had to ask myself "Is this what retirement is going to be like???"
