Guys,
Some of you may not know, but I lost my F-86 Sabre last weekend at the Jet Rally. We tried looking some but were unable to find it.
I know the fuse and whatnot is probably a total loss, but I am hoping the turbine, servo, or anything may be salvageable.
I am heading over there (Wilson Industrial) tomorrow morning to walk the woods. Between some aerial photographs and me flying over with a heli yesterday I have a good plan of attack.
If you are interested in helping (heck I will buy you lunch) and available lets plan on meeting in Zebulon at the McD's around 8 AM. I don't plan on staying out there too long, should be back a little after lunch time.
I can carry 3 people in my truck. I will bring Water, Cups, and 2 handheld radios.
If interested let me know via email (mikeh@ipass.net).
If I get no responses, I wont wait over at McD so please respond if you plan on helping.
If you do go, remember to bring long pants, shirt, and boots. There are some muddy patches that I encountered and maybe more after today's rain.
Also any tools like machete would be nice.
Thanks,
Michael
