Dear Members,

I have some sad news to convey to you all. Bill Hubbard passed away
yesterday, August 11, 2010 about 6:20 pm. We have lost a good friend
and a true RC hobbyist.

I will pass along the funeral arrangements as soon as I know them.

Sincerely,

Steve
Wow, that was out of nowhere! I just saw Bill at the field two weekends ago and he looked great and seemed to be enjoying life. You just never know. Godspeed, Bill.............

If you don't make it to Winston, how do you feel about flying small electrics @ North Hills ? Looking good to actually be able to do some flying at the mall show this year !

I need to meet with them next week to work out all the details, but it seems we made a positive impression with the North Hills show last year. We will definitely be doing a static display as we did before, but we have also been invited to do some flying ! With the new North Hills East development across Six Forks, I understand there is a large parking lot / grass area that we may be able to use. The idea is that we will do a combined display in the central area as we did last year, and a flying event in the new area.

As I said, we need to work out the details and probably get a sanction, but stay tuned for more details. Three Saturdays away, August 28th at North Hills shopping center !

Jason

Sounds good Jason, there is a open area between Six Forks Rd and the new Harris Teeter, I saw a guy packing up a electric trainer on a friday evening on my way to a service call at Harris Teeter so I know flying has already gone on there.
