Just got back from the Rocky Mount Fly-in. Man as always they put on a great show and I am glad to have had the chance to attend. The raffle prizes were great. Little windy but overall a beautiful day to fly. My hats off to you guys. Thanks again. Kelly, it was great talking to you about the warbirds hope there is one in the near future. Good to see all of you guys! Two more weeks. Man I can't wait for FFT! It is going to awesome as usual!

Sorry I did not make the Rocky Mount flyin. I had planned to, after I dropped Matt off at the beach. But, I was late leaving the house, and when I got down there Matt's girlfriend's parents wanted to see me fly my plane, so I flew it off the beach. (they REALLY twisted my arm). Then we went to lunch and talked about airplanes (he owns a 300hp Cirrus). Needless to say, I was a little late leaving the beach.
Got back home, I did not bother to unpack the planes. Sooo, I decided to check out the Sunday morning electric flyers. I got there about 10:00 and was the only one there. Pat Taggert soon showed up, as did a few others. Had an absolute blast. Pat's Seawind was a beautiful flyer! Wow, what a nice day!!! Absolutely beautiful sky all day long, mild temps, was a little windy early but calmed down by 1:00. Flew my Radian one flight for over an hour on just a little over 2 minutes motor run. Massive thermals. Sure hope we have weather like that for FFT.

Thanks to everyone that came to the Tarheel RC Flyers fly in on Saturday. Hurricane Earl passed us by and the cold front left us a beautiful weekend. We had the largest number of pilots on record for our club, 60 pilots!! I'm sorry if anyone that wanted a chicken plate didn't get one, but we didn't expect that many people to show up. I guess I need to round up more grills and cooks. Thanks to The Antique Barn, Foley Mfg., Don Gardner / 2Dog RC for the donations. Thanks again and we hope to see you all on October 30 for our Warbird Fly In.

Got lots of work done at RDRC this weekend. Installed the new turbine vent, painted the flight stations, and more.
Just for the record, there will be no soda's in the fridge until after FFT. Jacqui said she doesnt want to clean frozen soda out again before FFT !!!!!  I filled it with water todayt, so you guyts will have something to cool off with. Oh, DONT forget to PAY for them.. The kiddy box was lowwwwwwwww again! Check out these pics. Here's one of Bob getting his Turbine Waiver!!!! Get it?? Turbine,,,,,,, he's Waving,,,,,,,,,,, Turbine Wai,,,,,,, Oh never mind!!!!!!
