Hi, I have a Triton 2 and it's coming up with some errors...
I have a GP Electrifly 11.1V, 1250mah 3s Pack. I set up the settings on the Triton perfectly and it says "Error: Battery Voltage to Low". It did this on my foamie battery also... So please help me with this asap, I want to go hucking to night ![]() Thanks, Matt T. (Sp33d) |

When you plug in your battery to the Triton it should read the battery voltage left in the cells. What reading are you getting.
This before pushing the charge button. With that maybe I can help you. |

Kiwi,
When I pluged the charger to the 12v battery it came to the 1st memory slot, When I pluged the battery in it did nothing... I usualy have to press menu change to then start the charge. I've charged this battery 4-5 times perfectly and now it isnt working, I'm thinking I may have ran the battery to low. Could this be the problem |

Thats a real possibility and thats the reason for the question.
Go this way and see what happens. Set up the memory slot to suit your pack. Then press the black small button on the left. It comes up saying 11.1 volts and time etc etc. Push the start button and for 15 to 20 seconds it will tell you the battery pack voltage. If its less than 9 volts it will default to the error message. Stop it and do that again. Try it ten or a dozen times and some times if your lucky you will kick enough juice into it so the charger will connect and do the job. You need that 9 volts minimum before the charge will start. |

Kiwi,
Well when I start the charge it wont even charge, it will go directly to the error. So I think I could set it on 3.7 volts and see if it puts unough voltage in it. Will this ruin the battery? Is it worth a try because I know it will chagre for 3-4 seconds on the 3.7v setting. |

Do you have a voltmeter or something to measure the voltage at the plug. It really sounds like you might have broken a tab on the pack or somthing has totally gone POOOOFF!!!!!!.
If it has 1 volt it should still try and read the pack voltage before reverting to the error message. I think you can try anything at this point. It does not sound good for the battery |

Kiwi,
Well im not sure if it is the battery because it did this with my other foamie battery. Ill try to get the 9 Volts in it. By the way, should LiPo's be run down almost all the way or should you leave some charge left in them? |

WooooHoooo!
![]() I got it to work after charging it for 1 min on 7.4 V setting just to get the 9 V in it. So ill see how it charges! After all I might be able to go hucking tonight

Well looks like you drained it dead some how.
OK Li-Po packs must not be used for more than 80 % of the rated capacity. That is if you have a 2100 MaH pack its good for about 1700 Mah. You go past that and you will kill it. A lot of the low voltage cut offs on current ESC's are too hard on the packs and thats 90% of the reason they fail so early in life. If you have an adjustable cut off setting use it and set it so you don't use more than 80%. If you saved your pack your lucky. 99% of the time when you go below 3 volts a cell the pack dies. Its all to technical to explain by a guy like me but its chemistry related. Something to do with the lithium ions not being able to pass through the membrane if that makes sense. Fly your packs carefully and they will give you a very long life, abuse them and they are expensive paper weights. |

It won't charge because its not safe, one of the cells or more drop too low and if you try to charge them it can catch fire.
if the battery has a balancer connector, you can check with voltmeter each cell to see individual voltage , they should be all the same. I got that error message, one cell was shot. not sure but I think its because I left it in direct sunlight. never discharge Lipo below 3v per cell. |

Thats odd, my Triton only gives me that error message when the input voltage is too low, ie, my 12 volt battery has gotten to low to sustain the charger.

maybe it gives that same error message for either condition.
I was on power supply when I got that message. and when I checked the individual cell voltage, sure enough one cell was only 2v, other 2 were 3.1v. |
