Ok guys I have crossed over to the dark side and got a Arf to have something to play with. I dont have alot of expierence with assembling arfs but found this one to be very easy and all parts fit very well.My setup is as follows
DA 50 with standard mufflers 8611a servos( yes they are probably overkill but I had them allready) Fromeco battery 4800 for receiver and 24 for ign. I didnt even look at the instructions but was told the cg was 8 and 1/8" measured from the back edge of the cowl. After some flights I found this to be alittle tail heavy. I have since moved the cg 5/8" forward. I used 3" standoffs to get good clearance between the prop and cowl and have both batterys up on the motor box and the cg seems perfect now.I ended up with 3% opposite aileron to rudder and 2% up elevator to rudder for mixing. I didnt check the downline mixing yet. My finished weight is 17.5 lbs dry. I flew some sequences with it today it it handles fine. If your looking for something to play around with or starting out in IMAC its a good resonably priced choice and would recommend it to anyone. |

Tony,
Been thinking about getting one of these. Can I come over and try it sometime Tony? What pull-pull setup is that on rudder?

The prop is a 22x10 Xoar. They are available from Desert. I think Brian told me that Bolly makes them. It was about 20 bucks. |

Tony,
If you are getting slack it is because the diameter of the wheel is not the same as the distance between the two control horns on the rudder. Something tells me you already knew that, but I figured I would point that out so others would understand. BTW, next weekend I am visiting my parents on the east coast. Oh well, we'll hook up eventually.
