Default Tank vent question...

Hi Guys,

If I'm not mistaken, Jamie is using a loop of fuel tubing on the vent to reduce the blow out of gas while flying. In the photo you can see a loop of tubing on top of the tank and I assume that one end is connected to the vent of the tank and then exits the fuse. Using rearward g-force keeps excess vent fuel from just running out and down the bottom of the fuse. Can anyone confirm this ?

Thanks, Scott

I do the same thing. Loop the vent line to the back of the tank and then to the front for exit. This helps stop fule coming out during downlines. Works great for IMAC. But in hard 3D flying you may still get a small leak.

Just wondering. Has anyone ever tried a one way check valve AFTER fueling the tank on the vent line? Air can vent in but fuel wouldn't come out so I would think??

never tried that.....always just looped the tube.

Main reason.......when you fill up the vent line will vent air out of the tank and fuel, letting you know its full

Just poke a hole in the top of the tank with an ice pick. They always vent well after that...
