I am looking to get a second prop for my Aeroworks 50cc Yak. I am currently swinging an xoar 23x8 prop on a DA 50 at 6500 rpm. I am new to Imac and learning the sportsman sequence. I am looking for some recomendations for another prop to try on this set up.

Jeff at DA and Bill at TBM suggested a 23x8 for IMAC and a 22x8 for 3D, or a Vess 23a for 3D, maybe 23B for IMAC. maybe a 22x10. so either a 23x8 or a 22x10 could do the trick

I have used Bolly 23X8 props on all my 30%ers and its the best prop for 3D and precision/IMAC. I wouldnt use anything else..

Don't listen to tony, he doesn't know what he's talking about.
![]() I flew a 30% yak all last year in sportsman and found that I liked the mejzlik 22x8 the best. I got 7400 rpm's and it gave me the power i needed, because my yak flys at 18.5 pounds. |

Thanks for the input

I am also running mejzlik 22x8. You have to remember that if you run 23x8 it will drop your rpm, and that will also decrease the speed of your plane compared to 22x8. I think that 22x8 is a great prop for flying IMAC because the engine definately delivers all the possible power (which it might not do with a 22x10 which is good for IMAC also, just a bit faster and not that strong on uplines).
I've tried mejzlik 22x8, 22x10 and menz 22x10 and the 22x8 seems to be the best prop for both IMAC and 3D. You just got to let it rip, and thats why im running cannister on my colombo extra. edit: I measured 7200+ rpm with mejzlik 22x8 on standard DA muffler and now I've got 7000rpm with KS canister. (the power feels the same though because of the increased torque) |

Vess 23A on a 16.6lb Yak 54, 3mm 53cc motor. I fly IMAC with it. This prop is perfect for IMAC. It has great downline braking and flys the plane at the proper speed, not too fast. And unlimited vertical, including upline snaps.
