Probably a misprint, as the "C" is right next to the "X" on the keyboard.

I'm pretty sure it's an older radio but it seems to work perfectly. it's the heli version...

I guess I don't know how to resize the image so it will accept it. but the manual says that it's a "pcm 10" pulse code modulation. it also says at the bottoom of the manual that it's a 10c-5sfr helicopter computer radio. thanks guys

That looks like the original JR PCM 10 that was out in the early 90's. I don't think the 'C' is a designation that was carried aside from the specific part number to differentiate between that and the airplane version. It just mentions that it's a JR PCM 10 on the transmitter itself. All of the subsequent versions, the 10S, 10SX, 10SX II, and the 10X have all been called that on the transmitter.

Yup, that is the original PCM 10. It was actually released in the later 80's. 87 or 88 I think. I its 512 PCM and only works with the JR ZPCM type receivers.

Will it transmit in ppm and possibly take the spectrum upgrade setup?

Forgive me for knowing absolutely nothing about jr stuff. If i were to get a rx for it would I have to buy a pcm and would it have to be JR? All I know about JR is that everyone at my field makes fun of the 1 guy that flys jr stuff. Even he doesn't know much about his own radio. I know this much, that he has had problems with some of his rx's. I've seen two of his planes go in that he didn't have any control of whatsoever. I dont want the same problems.
