Hey guys, I live in an apartment for now and my question is has anyone built a Carden 32% Yak or a 35% Extra in a small area such as this? I know it sounds silly but I used to build my 25% planes when I lived in a condo. I know that I could get someone to build it but I really don't want to spend all that money on that part of the plane, I'm just kind'a tired of arf's for now.

I built a 40% Carden 330 in my 1 bedroom apartment. It is not the best way to build or live but it got the job done.
I got a 8 foot long folding table and used that to build the fuse and do all the sanding and finishing. I sheeted all the balsa with cinder blocks and set them on the tile floor in my kitchen. All the paint work was done in a budys drive way. Now that I am back living in a 1 bedroom apartment I am building a 40% Carden 300. So far I have been using a buddies garage to vacuum bag all the foam pieces. But I have another 8 ft table to frame up the fuselage. The nice thing about this apartment is that it has a really big balcony to sand/drill and do all the messy work outside. Anyone who was ever built a Carden knows that there is a lot of sanding and that this gets very messy. Get yourself a good shop vac and some plastic (to cover up what you don't want to get dirty) and you will be good to go! Good Luck BZR |

Thanks we are just ready to move to a 3 bedroom townhome (no garage
) but it does have a 12x12 deck off the dining room. The downstairs has all tile floors which would be great to sheet the cores on with the weight. I guess I'm good to go
