Thanks for the heads up dubd....I'm also looking at some wheels that B&B supplies, as my buddy has the same plane with these wheels and really likes 'em.

Hey Adrian,

Sure great to see you're up and around and able to provide valuable input...

Right now I've got the landing gear "blocked" off the ground with heavy duty blue styrofoam right under the edge of the carbon fiber portion, so that the H-9 Pro-Lite wheels will not have the weight on 'em.

Think I'll use the same material to make a custom block under the fuse.

tx Bill

great idea the Styrofoam block - it will also take the stress from the carbon landing gear and wheels

Is a DA 150 with stock pipes enough power? Will it pull out of a hover?

yeah - i have had a DA150 on stock pipes in mine for more than three years - keep it light and use the right prop and it will do all you ask from it and yes it pulls from hover just fine

What servos are you guys using? Do you think one 8711 is enough for the rudder?

.. only 400 oz inch on the rudder of that bird? at least you need TWO 8711 on the rudder for the 46% ultimate...IMO

Have Fun!

One seiko ps50, at 900-1800 oz of torque (6v-12?) is plenty. i run mine on 6v and its fine AND fast. Six 8611 singles everywhere else.

Cool, Thanks. I am thinking about using 6 8711's and a seiko for rudder and not using a regulator. I hear people are doing it with great results and no problems although they are not documenting that it is o.k. to do.
