Cliff,
One per aileron, seiko on rudder. I run 2 switches for the 2 batteries into the battery port and a free channel. just make sure to charge them with at least one battery disconnected or else a circuit will be ruined by charging both connected. found out on a hitec rx this way.....

I did two with the flat hinges and my last one I put in Robart hinge points.

hi , I have alredy writed this post, but I post here also because I think is the most appropriate section..

I have a Lembeck Modellbau Ultimate at home ready to recive a DA170, This plane is pretty much like the H-9 ultimate but you can fit a couple of 70mm cannister on the side of the engine box.

They sell the exaust kit (headers and canister) for the DA150, so I cant use the headers for the 170 due the different port.

I have 3 different option

1)use the Jtec muffler (easy, cheap and with the 170 I have anyway plenty of power on the byp)

2)use canister and try to find the correct headers from the market (less noise and more power but where I can find headers like the photo for the 170?

3)Follow this article http://www.horizonhobby.com/Articles...ArticleID=1357 and install a couple of KS1090 or Greeves and get TONS of power from the 170 (but this option looks to be the most expensive...

IMHO I think the last option give even too much power to the ultimate, specially because I'm using a lightweight setup (single 8711 on ailerons, A123.......) but a big foamy bipe should be intresting..

also in the field when I plan to fly the ultimate we dont have noise rules so the scream of the bolly 32X10 and muffler is not the end of the world....

Thanks in advance for the help and sorry if I post this question in the wrong place, in case let me know and I open a new discussion.

Thanks again

Snoop I do not have any pics but I used the 3/16 hinges. I put 4 in each elevator and 6 in the rudder. I used Probond to install them and did not have any issues. I was a little concerned myself prior to flying.

Snoopy,

I used Klett flat hinges and pinned them in place with carbon fiber rods. Not even a suggestion of a problem after 40 flights.

Did any of you guys baffel your engines on this plane? If you did, do you have some pics or tips? It does not seem like it will be an easy task.
