The safest would be 2-5955's on each aileron. I've seen them flown with 1-8611 on each and they were fine, but the safest route that you listed would be 2-5955. The ones with the single 8611 weren't being flown at high speed.
I've seen these Ultimates flown high speed with 2-8611/5955 on each aileron and it worked well.

Whats 4 more when you are already buying more than 10?
I've seen it done with 1 8611 on each aileron and it WAS fine. Two would just be better!

what size motor and prop are you using . I use a DA 150 and Vess 32a with one 8611a per surface and it works great IMO it would be hard to over fly this plane . what you have to do is watch your weigth.

I've seen it with 1 2721 on each aileron..........3-D just fine for over a year until it met a early demise into a barbwire fence on a dead stick

the ailerons on the Ultimate are about the same size as a comparable 33-35% size mono. to me, the speed doesnt change from 1/2 to full throttle straight and level. full power not needed on downlines anyway as it might exceed VNE for the plane... i wouldnt take the chance.
If in doubt, go ahead and setup with 2 servos. but 1 300-400 in ounces will be plenty. |

do the ailerons have many lighten holes that cause it to have some flex in it. Can one sheet it to shiften it up and then run only one? The flyers that are running one was there any mods to do this? (ie move the servo, sheeted, ect)

the ailerons do have an open bay to them, so yes, they can be sheeted. i would be curious if anyone could tell a difference back to back. it should, but i have no issues....

if its about the size of a 33% it should be able to be sheet and run one strong servo. I would not expect 2 or more servos to flutter since some 38-42% are only running two servos. I am running on an older 40% 2-on elevator and 3 on ailerons when the 8411 was king lol...no issues....

yeah they say put 2 on the plane but they forget that weight is a decrease in power, the more weight you add the more power you will need. I have 1 5955tg on each surface with no blow back and no problems, my throws are extreme 3D and there is not a problem. Let the other guys add the extra weight that isn't needed, they are also the ones that say a 50cc arf needs 5955's all the way around when they only need 80oz of torque on the ailerons and elevators and 122 on the rudder with no blow back.

i am with u i will only be running one on each of the 4 ailerons on my 46% and I did the same on my 33% H-9 Cap. The one 5955 is working great on that deal.....
