What are you guy's using for tubing that connects to the mufflers? I have a J&A smoke muffler on a BME 50 and I just used tygon to the pressure nipple on the muffler which melted of course.
Is there some other type of tubing or fitting needed to keep the tubing from melting? |

Chris,
Looks like this thread fell off the wagon somewhat. There are two types of tube I use. The best I find is a black neoprene tube that you can pick up from car accessory shops or Tower. It last a few weeks so what I do is make a joiner close to the exhaust so I can easily replace a couple of inches at a time as it goes hard. The other is heavy duty silicone glow fuel tubing. Use a plastic tie wrap to hold it on the nipple as it will pop off otherwise. This lasts a season without too much drama. Hope this helps and sorry for not getting on this sooner. Kiwi |

Just as Kiwi suggested , I like the neoprene high temp tubing. You can purchase it a napa auto parts, used for emission tube from carb to exhaust system... or buy it from Troy Built, just scroll to bottom of this link. Hope this helps.http://troybuiltmodels.com/FuelSystems.html##line

I use sullivan Smoke oil tubing, it looks like black neoprene tubing but can handle the high temps and the smoke oil. So far I have not had any problems. I had to saftey wire all of the connections so that the lines would not pop off as well.

The Napa stuff is awesome I ran it for a whole season and it was still intact. I just used a small wire tie to keep it from popping off. I plan on cutting off the tip to start the new season!!!
