I had a 3w150 CS TS on PeFa pipes in my 38% Columbo Extra. I flew it for over 3.5 years and never had any problems with flexing or coming apart. My new 3w 170 is smoother than my 150 so if I was going to do another one I would install the 3w 170 without hesitation.

Actually Mith, the new gen II version has no stringers along the bottom from the back of the gear plate to the tail wheel, but balsa sheeted foam instead. They also improved the formers and frame so it's not necessary for cross braces.

Sad news man....You'll have to squeeze some budget now... in time you (And me) will own one. I own a CA Model 27% with a DA 50 myself, but oddly it seems soooo small now... I have a question.Don't misunderstand me... Kyle's flying is great! It's just I noticed the plane's kinda snappy... it goes as smooth as most 150cc'ers must, but in some maneuvers it seemed it handled control inputs like a 33%. Or is it just a sign of a windy day?

Thanks Dunny. BTW, how do you reach that nylon bolt that holds down the canopy? Do you drill a hole on the canopy or something?
