Hey guys.....I just thought that I would share the photos and video on the thread over at RCG. The content over there was contributed by several RDRC Members and event goers.

And here's Josh (Matthews) with his cub after he scraped the top of the wing down the asphalt (and ended the flight!). Notice the black streak, caused by melting the monokote....

Finally had a chance to upload some pictures.

This is the field on Friday before the rain started. A few people had setup their canopies, only to have the rain demolish a few of them.

This is the transmitter impound, Neal Wall in the foreground. Luckily, only the 72mhz radios were impounded, otherwise we would not have had enough space for them all. 201 registered pilots over the weekend.

What would normally be a "walk of shame" tuned into a "walk of fame" for RJ Gritter after his one-wing landing.






There was a nasty rumor circulating early that the famed "Snap-a-saurus" sticker was jinxed, causing the wing to fail during a snap. However, instant replay of the "MomCam" showed a successful snap on takeoff, and a "successful" flight after the wing failed. Mr Snap-A-Saurus himself reviewed the tape and concluded the sticker in no way contributed to the failed wing. Hmmm, sorta like Boeing performing a crash investigation of one of its planes. It is not likely that we will ever know the REAL cause.
